It is here that the scholarly Toad, the reptilian Soaron, the illusionist Mastermind, and the monstrous Brute join their leader Forge as a small band of resistance fighters posing as circus performers roaming the countryside helping when and where they can. They are joined by a mysterious young man with immense psionic powers. Nate doesn’t remember his past but the future of mutant and mankind may rest in his hands. The tyrant Apocalypse has become aware of a powerful mutant that may pose a threat to his rule. He sends his best assassin, Domino, to either recruit this new mutant, or destroy him. Meanwhile, Forge’s troupe has been joined by Theresa, a newly discovered mutant with a sonic scream, and the mysterious Essex. Who is Essex and what does he have planned for Nate and his friends?
